Initial Consultation
The Invisalign® journey starts with a detailed consultation with your orthodontist who offers Invisalign® treatment. During this visit, the provider will evaluate your teeth, bite, and overall oral health. A thorough examination may include digital X-rays and possibly photos of the face and teeth. Treatment Planning
Using the images and scans, your provider will design a step-by-step Invisalign® plan. We use software to create a digital simulation showing how the teeth will move over time. You’ll be able to see a virtual preview of your future smile, which many patients find motivating and reassuring.

If you decide to move forward, your provider will send your scans to Invisalign®’s lab to fabricate your aligners. This typically takes a few weeks. You’ll also receive instructions on how to wear and care for your aligners. Generally, aligners are worn 20 to 22 hours a day and are only removed for eating, drinking (except water), and cleaning your teeth.
Next Steps
